Proverbs 3:5-6 -“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Experiencing any loss is not easy. Developing a habit of trusting, is also not easy. There are so many things we cannot and will never understand as our minds are finite.
It is natural to want to find an explanation for something that makes no sense. To have a rational or wrap your mind around something that may hit you by surprise. Surrender to not lean on your own understanding admittedly is where the struggle resides.
Isaiah 55:8-9 is a powerful reminder that “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Proverbs 3:5 reminds us to do two exclusive things- "Trust in the LORD with all our heart; and lean not on our own understanding.” Proverbs 3:6 reminds us, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I encourage you to read Proverbs 3 in its entirety. Keep trusting and loving even when it makes no sense.
Dear Father,
Thank you for this reminder to trust you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. You are our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble. I pray that all your children continue to trust you and lean not on their own understanding. That they remember you are our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble. May your strength abound in all families experiencing loss and are in mourning. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!

No Te Apoyes En Tu Propio Entendimiento
Proverbios 3:5-6 - Confía en el Señor de todo corazón, y no en tu propia inteligencia. Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él allanará tus sendas.
Experimentar cualquier pérdida no es fácil. Desarrollar un hábito de confiar tampoco es fácil. Hay tantas cosas que no podemos entender y nunca entenderemos, ya que nuestras mentes son finitas.
Es natural querer encontrar una explicación para algo que no tiene sentido. Tener una actitud racional o concentrarse en algo que pueda sorprenderlo. Entregarse para no apoyarse en su propia comprensión es ahí donde reside la lucha.
Isaías 55: 8-9 es un poderoso recordatorio de que "Porque mis pensamientos no son tus pensamientos, ni tus caminos son mis caminos", declara el Señor. "Como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que tus caminos y mis pensamientos que tus pensamientos".
Proverbios 3: 5 nos recuerda que debemos hacer dos cosas exclusivas: Confía en el Señor con todo tu corazón; y no te apoyes en tu propio entendimiento.” Proverbios 3: 6 nos recuerda: Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él dirigirá tus caminos ”. Te animo a leer Proverbios 3 en su totalidad. Sigue confiando y amando incluso cuando no tiene sentido.

Gracias por este recordatorio de confiar en ti con todo mi corazón y no depender de mi propio entendimiento. Eres nuestro refugio y fortaleza, una ayuda siempre presente en los problemas. Rezo para que todos tus hijos continuemos confiando en ti y no nos apoyemos en nuestra propia comprensión.
