The Power Of Appreciation

Gratitude is a spiritual force that empowers you to scale higher. You can’t change to higher level without it.

Psalms 92:1 - It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High
I often wonder if lack of appreciation for what we have gets in the way of our growth. Is ingratitude causing stagnation in our life? It is not simple to remain laser focused on being grateful that you are alive, that you had a meal this morning, that you can see and read this message. It seems easier to focus on what you don’t have despite all the many opportunities that blessed you the first hour of this day. Appreciation can be defined as to judge with heightened perception or understanding, be fully aware of; must see it to appreciate it; to recognize with gratitude. It was fascinating to be reminded that to appreciate is to “judge with a heightened perception or understanding.”
A friend shared a sermon with me a few years ago by Bishop Dr. Julius Soyinka. In this sermon, Bishop Dr. Soyinka shares many things about appreciation that I jotted down as wisdom points. I share three here:

1-A person who does not give thanks does not move forward no matter how much he prays. Yes, God expects you to show appreciation. He values our praise and thanksgiving, and is actually motivated by it! When we judge with a heightened perception or understanding, it yields thanksgiving and appreciation instead of ingratitude and negativity.

2- Thank the people whom God has used to bring the blessings to you. We must not take the people God has surrounded us with for granted, but they must be greatly appreciated for the various roles they play in our lives. As human beings we must learn to appreciate and show gratitude to one another unconditionally. A heart of gratitude and appreciation does not harbour offenses and never seeks opportunity to take revenge for evil.

3-Your struggles will reduce and your glory will show when you live a life of gratitude. Every time the devil reminds you of what God has not done, show him what God has already done.
Today’s verse is a reminder - It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High. It is a reminder of the power of appreciation.
Dear Father,

Thank you for the reminder that it is a good thing to give thanks to you and to sing your praise. That there is power in appreciation. I pray that all your children remember that it is a good thing to give thanks to you and to sing your praise. That there is power in appreciation. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!

El poder de la apreciación
Salmos 92: 1 - ¡Cuán bueno, Señor, es darte gracias y entonar, oh Altísimo, salmos a tu nombre.
A menudo me pregunto si la falta de aprecio por lo que tenemos se interpone en el camino de nuestro crecimiento. ¿La ingratitud causa estancamiento en nuestra vida? No es simple permanecer enfocado para agradecer que estés vivo, que hayas comido esta mañana, que puedas ver y leer este mensaje. Parece más fácil enfocarse en lo que no tienes a pesar de todas las oportunidades que te bendijeron la primera hora de este día. La apreciación puede definirse como la de juzgar con mayor percepción o comprensión, tener plenamente en cuenta; debe verlo para apreciarlo; reconocer con gratitud. Fue fascinante recordar que apreciar es "juzgar con una percepción o entendimiento elevado".
Un amigo compartió un sermón conmigo hace unos años por el obispo Dr. Julius Soyinka. En este sermón, el obispo Dr. Soyinka comparte muchas cosas sobre la apreciación que anoté como puntos de sabiduría. Yo comparto tres aquí:
1-Una persona que no agradece no avanza. No importa cuánto reza. Sí, Dios espera que muestres aprecio. Él valora nuestra alabanza y acción de gracias, ¡y está realmente motivado por eso! Cuando juzgamos con una mayor percepción o entendimiento, produce gratitud y agradecimiento en lugar de ingratitud y negatividad.
2- Agradezca a las personas a quienes Dios ha usado para traerte las bendiciones. No debemos dar por hecho las personas con las que Dios nos ha rodeado, pero deben ser muy apreciadas por los diversos roles que desempeñan en nuestras vidas.
Como seres humanos, debemos aprender a apreciar y mostrar gratitud mutua incondicionalmente. Un corazón de gratitud y aprecio no alberga ofensas y nunca busca la oportunidad de vengarse por el mal.
3-Sus luchas se reducirán y su gloria se verá cuando viva una vida de gratitud. Cada vez que el diablo te recuerde lo que Dios no ha hecho, muéstrale lo que Dios ya hizo.
El versículo de hoy es un recordatorio de ¡Cuán bueno, Señor, es darte gracias y entonar, oh Altísimo, salmos a tu nombre. Es un recordatorio del poder de apreciación.

Gracias por el recordatorio de que es bueno dar gracias y cantar tu alabanza. Que hay poder en el aprecio Rezo para que todos tus hijos siempre recuerden que es bueno darte gracias y cantar tu alabanza. Que hay poder en el aprecio Pido esto en el nombre de tu hijo Jesús. ¡Amén!
