Happy Wednesday!
Psalm 78:41-42(NIV)- Again and again they put God to the test; they vexed the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember his power— the day he redeemed them from the oppressor...
As a child, I always wondered if the sky was really the limit. As I continue to mature and strengthen my relationship with God, I realize that if I believe that the sky is as far as I could go, then I am putting limits on God. Being part of God’s family we are not allowed to limit what God can do. Trust Him and watch how there is no limit or boundaries with God. In fact, with God the sky is not the limit.
Job 11:8-9 says The sky is no limit for God, but it lies beyond your reach. God knows the world of the dead, but you do not know it. God's greatness is broader than the earth, wider than the sea. I said, here is the answer to the question I wondered about as a child...the sky is no limit for God. His greatness is broader than the earth. He is the Almighty.
Today’s verse is a reminder that again and again they put God to the test; they vexed the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember his power— the day he redeemed them from the oppressor. I hope and pray that you don’t limit God. He passed every test of achieving the impossible. Don’t forget his power. I encourage you today to read Psalm 78 and Job 11.
Dear God,
Thank you for the reminder that the sky is no limit for you. That you have passed every test when I tried to put limits on your power. I pray that all your children do not vex you by putting limits on what you can do. That they remember your mighty power. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
