Searching for Purpose

 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) -All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 

I recently read that one in five people today struggles with depression, often rooted in feeling purposeless. In searching for purpose, you may seek what you believe is your heart’s desire. The things and places you believe or society leads you to believe is your life purpose. I wonder when it can’t be found, if one will surrender to the thought that they may be searching in the wrong places.

The amazing news is that every person on this planet has a specific purpose to fulfill. The key is finding it by searching in the right place. Have you ever uttered these words: What is my purpose in life and how do I find it? I recalled asking this question and the answer I got was this: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Yes, Jeremiah 29:11. Light bulbs went off...go to the source for the answer.

Turn to your higher source, the Creator, for your answer. But first, allow the creator to transform your thinking to better understand your purpose and his will for you. I can almost guarantee, it will not align with what the world tells you and sometimes may surprise you that your heart deceived you.

Without a life purpose as the compass to guide you, your goals and action plans may not ultimately fulfill you. I encourage you to find your purpose, live it, then lead it! Let’s not cheat the world of your gift and your light.

Today’s verse is a reminder, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” It may surprise you, once you are operating in your purpose, it may not feel like work. I encourage you to read 2 Timothy 3 in it’s entirety.

Dear Father,
Thank you for the reminder that you created my purpose. To seek you and your plans for me then I will find my purpose. I pray that all your children remember that you have the blueprint for their life. To seek you, allow you to transform their minds and there purpose will be found. That your scriptures is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God maybe thoroughly equipped for every good work. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!

 "Si puedes sintonizar con tu propósito y realmente alinearte con él, estableciendo metas para que tu visión sea una expresión de ese propósito, entonces la vida fluye mucho más fácilmente".   -Jack Canfield      Buscando Propósito       2 Timoteo 3: 16-17 (NVI)- “Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios y útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir y para instruir en la justicia, a fin de que el siervo de Dios esté enteramente   capacitado para toda buena obra”     Recientemente leí que una de cada cinco personas hoy lucha   contra la depresión, a menudo basada en sentirse sin propósito. Al buscar su propósito, puede buscar lo que cree que es el deseo de su corazón, las cosas y los lugares en los que crees o en lo que la  sociedad te lleva a creer que es el propósito de tu vida. Pregunto, cuándo no se puede encontrar, si uno se rinde ante la idea de que pueden estar buscando en los lugares equivocados.      La noticia sorprendente es que cada persona en este planeta tiene un propósito específico que cumplir. La clave es encontrarlo   buscando en el lugar correcto. ¿Alguna vez ha pronunciado estas palabras: ¿Cuál es mi propósito en la vida y cómo lo encuentro?   Recordé haber hecho esta pregunta y la respuesta que obtuve fue esta: "Porque sé los planes que tengo para ti", declara el SEÑOR, "planes de prosperarte y no dañarte, planes para darte esperanza y un futuro". Sí, Jeremías 29:11. Las bombillas se prendieron ... ve a   la fuente para la respuesta.      Acude a tu fuente superior, el creador de tu vida. Pero primero,   permita que el creador transforme sus pensamientos para   comprender mejor su propósito y su voluntad para ti. Casi puedo   garantizar que no se alineará con lo que el mundo te dice y puede   sorprenderte que tu corazón te haya engañado.       Sin un propósito de tu vida como la brújula que lo guíe, sus metas y planes de acción pueden no cumplirse. ¡Te animo a que encuentres tu propósito, vívelo, luego compártelo! No le robes al mundo de tu don y tu luz.      El versículo de hoy es un recordatorio: “Toda la Escritura es   inspirada por Dios y útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir y para instruir en la justicia, a fin de que el siervo de Dios esté   enteramente capacitado para toda buena obra” Talvez te   sorprenderás una vez que lo encuentres, que tu propósito, no se   sentirá como trabajo. Te animo a leer 2 Timoteo 3 en su totalidad.     Querido Padre,      Gracias por el recordatorio de que creaste mi propósito. De   buscarte a ti y tus planes para mí, entonces encontraré mi   propósito. Rezo para que todos tus hijos recuerden que tienes el   plan para su vida. De buscarte, permite que transformes sus   mentes y allí encontrarán su propósito. Que tus escrituras son   útiles para enseñar, reprender, corregir y entrenar en la justicia,   para que el siervo de Dios esté completamente equipado para   toda buena obra. Te pido esto en el nombre de tu hijo Jesús.   ¡Amén!
