Proverbs 6:6-8 NASB- Go to the ant, O sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which, having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest.”

The most recent pandemic COVID-19, makes it inevitable not to consider preparedness. One never knows when such event may hit, panic sets in, and you may be left feeling unprepared. There is so much to prepare for and so many other areas where preparedness may be lacking.

I recently read a devotional by Inspiration Ministries that talked about the sluggards. A sluggard usual refers to a habitually lazy person. The devotional reminded that “although sluggards tend to be wasteful, they still have a huge appetite. They love to consume the resources they have, yet they aren’t ready for the future. They don’t plan or think ahead. They don’t plow their fields or sow seeds when they have the opportunity.”

In the midst of chaos, you may think you have missed the opportunity to prepare especially if you don’t have what you need. However, there is the present and there is a future. You can begin now, preparing for the long haul. Gathering just enough of what you need to sustain you through this and the next season. No need to remain stuck, in slumber or sluggish. Wake up and start doing what you can, with what you have, from where you are. You still have an opportunity to prepare for the future. Start now.

Today’s verse is a reminder: “Go to the ant, O sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which, having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest.” I encourage you to read Proverbs 6 in it’s entirety. When preparedness and opportunity meets, it yields success.

Dear Father,

Thank you for the reminder to go observe the ways of the ant and be wise, without a chief or ruler, she prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest. I pray that all your children shed any sluggish spirit and prepare. That they observe the ant, be wise, and prepare now for the future. That as they do their part, you will handle the rest. You are present and are with each of them. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!

Proverbios 6: 6-8 NASB- “Observa a la hormiga, oh perezoso, Mira sus caminos y sé sabio; la cual no teniendo capitán, ni gobernador, ni señor, prepara en el verano su comida, y recoge en el tiempo de la siega su mantenimiento.”

La pandemia más reciente COVID-19 hace que sea inevitable no considerar la preparación. Uno nunca sabe cuándo puede suceder tal evento, se produce el pánico y es posible que no te sientas preparado. Hay mucho para prepararse y muchas otras áreas donde puede faltar preparación.

Hace poco leí un devocional de los Ministerios de inspiración que hablaba sobre los perezosos. Un perezoso habitual se refiere a una persona habitualmente perezosa. El devocional recordó que "aunque los perezosos tienden a ser un desperdicio, todavía tienen un gran apetito". Les encanta consumir los recursos que tienen, pero no están listos para el futuro. No planean ni piensan en el futuro. No aran sus campos ni siembran semillas cuando tienen la oportunidad ".

En medio del caos, puedes pensar que has perdido la oportunidad de prepararte, especialmente si no tienes lo que necesitas. Sin embargo, existe el presente y hay un futuro. Puedes comenzar ahora, preparándote para el largo recorrido. Recopilando lo suficiente para mantenerte durante esta y la próxima temporada. No es necesario permanecer atrapado, en sueño o lento. Despierta y comienza a hacer lo que puedas, con lo que tienes, desde donde estás. Aún tienes la oportunidad de prepararte para el futuro. Empieza ahora.

El verso de hoy es un recordatorio: “Observa a la hormiga, oh perezoso, Mira sus caminos y sé sabio; La cual no teniendo capitán, ni gobernador, ni señor, prepara en el verano su comida, y recoge en el tiempo de la siega su mantenimiento.” Te animo a leer Proverbios 6 en su totalidad. Cuando la preparación y la oportunidad se encuentran, se obtiene el éxito.

Querido padre,

Gracias por el recordatorio de ir a observar los caminos de la hormiga y ser sabio, sin un jefe o gobernante, ella prepara su comida en el verano y recoge su provisión en la cosecha. Rezo para que todos tus hijos derramen cualquier espíritu lento y estén preparados. Que observen la hormiga, sean sabios y se preparen ahora para el futuro. Que a medida que hagan su parte, tú te encargarás del resto. Estas presente y al lado de cada uno de ellos. Te pido esto en el nombre de tu hijo Jesús. ¡Amén!
