Romans 12:12 - Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
It is sometimes difficult to believe that your prayers are being heard. You continue to pray and the answers are delayed, you receive an answer you do not like or the answer may be a resounding no. I have learned to find peace with the answers I receive to my prayers. There is power in prayer.
Sure, disappointment will set in and it seems as a natural first reaction. However, when you look back at your life you see where the answer you received to your prayers were meant for your good. The plans for your life were already laid out for you. That what is destined to happen will happen. I also now know that each of us are designed and equipped to live an extraordinary life. That prayer still works.
Today’s verse serves as a reminder to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Keep asking, keep praying, never give up, and be thankful. God will never give up on you!
Dear Father,
Thank you for the reminder that prayer still work. To be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. I pray that all your children believe that prayer still works. That they continue to pray without ceasing. That they remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
Learn it. Live it. Lead it.
