Observe vs. Watch

Habakkuk 1:5 (CSB) -Look at the nations and observe--be utterly astounded! For I am doing something in your days that you will not believe when you hear about it.

To observe or to watch, that is the question. To observe is sometimes defined as to notice or perceive (something) and register it as being significant. To watch is sometimes defined as to act as a spectator; look on.

It is interesting, as I thought of these two words, I thought of the impact on our learning styles. We may all have experienced how two people see the same thing, but observesomething completely different.

“Observationis where real learning comes from. When we observewe see something on a deeper level.” We look pass the surface. Watching seems more of the “physical process” were we spectate and add our own thoughts without diving deeper. As you continue on your day, pay attention to the difference it makes to observe vs. watch.

Habakkuk 1:5 is a reminder, “Look at the nations and observe--be utterly astounded! For I am doing something in your days that you will not believe when you hear about it.” Observe, as what you see, is not what is. Observe and be amazed!

Dear Father,

Thank you for the reminder to observe what you are doing. I will be amazed. I pray that all your children observe what you are doing in the nations and in their lives. They will be utterly astounded. That they remember what they see, is not what is. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!

Observar vs Mirar

Observar o mirar, esa es la pregunta. Observar a veces se define como notar o percibir (algo) y registrarlo como significativo. Mirar a veces se define como actuar como espectador; buscar.

Es interesante, en pensar en estas dos palabras, pensé en el impacto en nuestros estilos de aprendizaje. Es posible que todos hayamos experimentado cómo dos personas ven lo mismo, pero observan algo completamente diferente.

“La observación es de donde viene el verdadero aprendizaje. Cuando observamos vemos algo en un nivel más profundo ". Miramos pasar la superficie. Mirar parece ser más del "proceso físico" donde observamos y agregamos nuestros propios pensamientos sin profundizar más. A medida que continúe su día, preste atención a la diferencia que supone observar frente a mirar.

Habacuc 1: 5 es un recordatorio: “Mira a las naciones y observa, ¡sorpréndete por completo! Porque estoy haciendo algo en tus días que no vas a creer cuando lo escuches ”. Observar, como lo que ves, no es lo que es. ¡Observa y déjate sorprender!

Gracias por el recordatorio de observar lo que estás haciendo. Me sorprenderé. Ruego que todos sus hijos observen lo que están haciendo en las naciones y en sus vidas. Estarán absolutamente asombrados. Que recuerden lo que ven, no es lo que es. Te pido esto en el nombre de tu hijo Jesús. ¡Amén!
