Psalm 139:16(NLT)- You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Can you imagine being 37 or 50 years old and saying that your life is over? You have done so many horrible things in life that you believe God will never bless you. Or another thought, you have been working for 39 years to reach your goal or find your purpose and you decide, it will never happen so you give up. What if you believe greater is coming and you keep moving forward?
Think of the stories in the Bible, Job had to wait for God to heal and deliver him; Abraham waited 25 years for God’s promise to give him a son, Joseph had 13 years of tribulation, Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness, David waited 15 years to be King. Lets not forget that Sarah, Leah, Hannah, the Woman with the issue of blood, and Martha also had to wait. It seems God’s strategy is to bring you through a process and part of that process is waiting, trusting, believing and keep things moving.
Sometimes we allow the enemy to convince us that it is over, that we should just give up, that we will never make it or that you will never be a good person. Today’s verse is a reminder that God saw you before you were born. Every day of your life was recorded in his book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Yes, God knows the plans he has for you and those plans are for greater. Don’t give-up! Remember no matter how long your wait, you are in good company. Greater is coming! Today, I encourage you to read Psalm 139.
Dear God,
Thank you for the reminder that you saw me before I was born. That everyday of my life is recorded in your book. That every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. I pray that all your children are reminded that you saw them before they were born. That everyday of their life was recorded in your book. That every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. That although the wait may be long, they must endure and believe. Greater is coming! I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
