Gratitude Day #28
Verses for today: Romans 8:6 and Galatians 5:25
Today I am happy and grateful for my spiritual growth. Spirituality is sometimes defined as “the quality of being concerned with the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things. In general a sense of connectedness to something bigger than ourselves.”
Christina Puchalski, MD, Director of the George Washington Institute for Spirituality and Health, says that "spirituality is the aspect of humanity that refers to the way individuals seek and express meaning and purpose and the way they experience their connectedness to the moment, to self, to others, to nature, and to the significant or sacred."
To me it relates to life, your identity, purpose, and connectedness to a higher power. It is something we will all experience sooner or later. Whether it is healing, listening to or saving our soul.
Thomas Merton reminds us that “You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”
Here are five questions you may ponder as you go throw this spirituality process:
1-Who am I
2-Am I a good person?
3-Why must we suffer?
4- What is my purpose?
5- How can I live my life in the best way possible?
Have you ask yourself these or similar questions lately? Any other questions to add to this list?
I look forward to hearing from you. Please let me know how I can support you.
