Gratitude Day #29
Verses for today: Colossians 1:11 and Proverbs 15:18
Today I am happy and grateful for patience. Patience with self and others is required to lead. With most nowadays seeking instant gratification, it leaves little room for patience. It takes patience to build a house, a career, to start a business, to change, for crop to grow, to run a marathon, just to mention a few.
Some of you may remember the movie, “Are we there yet?” Where a man offered to take two kids on a long cross country road trip to impress their mother. Little did he know the patience that would be required to complete this trip and remain alive.
Some of you may be waiting for something, growing something, or building something. The patience that is required to wait till that “something” is complete or reaches a level that brings you satisfaction may have you asking daily, are we there yet? The struggle is real. Eddie Cantor reminds us that “It takes 20 years to make an overnight success.” Get it.
Next time you lose patience or you ask, are we there yet, remember that patience yields gratitude. You will get there, keep trusting the process.
Ask yourself, what area of your life is your patience being tested? What is this test teaching you about your growth as a leader?

I look forward to hearing from you.
Learn it. Live it. Lead it.
