Gratitude Day #14
Verses for today: Ephesians 4:32 and 1 Corinthians 13:4
Today I am grateful for kindness. Did you know that yesterday was World Kindness Day? A day set aside to remind us humans to be kind. It costs nothing to be kind (except maybe our ego or our pride.) The World Kindness Day site reminds us of an important benefit of being kind. “It states that people who are constantly kind produce 23% less cortisol, which is the stress hormone. Because of the lower levels of stress, people who practice kindness age slower than the average population.” Who knew kindness is an antidote to be forever young. Maybe this is sufficient incentive to be kind. (LOL)
The site also recommends these three activities to celebrate this special day:
1-Commit at Least Three Random Acts of Kindness Today.
2- Give Extra (and Extra-Long) Hugs Today ( ensure these are air hugs and physically distanced. As a hugger a miss giving 💜2💜 hugs. Part of being kind for me is no hugs, only air hugs until COVID 19 subsides.😅
3-Write a Love Poem to Yourself and Read It out Loud or share it here.
Let’s make kindness go viral. I say let’s make this weekend “World Kindness Weekend.” Who is in? Reply YES if you are in. Let’s Go!!!
I look forward to hearing from you and the results you notice from this weekend of making kindness go viral..
