Gratitude Day #18
Verses for today: Acts 20:35 and 2 Corinthians 8:14
Today I am happy and grateful for the ability to give freely to others. Whether it be of my talents, treasures, or gifts. It brings joy to my heart to give freely. No strings attached.
The world tries to trick us to believe that because we give, we must expect something in return. This enables the “what’s in it for me” (WIIFM) syndrome rather than “what’s in it for us” (WIIFU.) Think about this, when someone gives you something out of the blue, do you question, I wonder what “they” want now or do you simply bask in the feeling of gratitude?
Likewise, we must free ourselves from the feeling that because something is given, we must give something in return. This blocks the blessing that someone else wants to share. Learn to release any feeling of guilt or obligation and embrace that genuine feeling of gratitude.
“What is the essence of life? To serve others and to do good.”
I look forward to hearing about your grateful leader experience.
Learn it. Live it. Lead it.
