You may remember as a child, when your friends, older siblings or even parents wanted to insight fear they would say “the boogeyman will get you.” Have any of you met the boogeyman?Boogeyman is defined as a common allusion to a mythical creature in many cultures used by adults to frighten children into good behaviour.
Do you have any fears? The more I look at the short list of things that I fear, the more courage I have to face them. I think this "fear thing" is designed to keep us on the run. Running away from our destiny, running from the truth or running away from things that are not real. Fear is sometimes describes as false expressions appearing real. Apparently fear keeps us from facing our reality. How many of you are allowing fear to keep you from confrontation, from living your purpose, from mending a friendship or relationship?
Today’s verse is a reminder to not be afraid, for "I AM" is with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. If God is with you, who can be against you? As you take time today to write down all your fears, I encourage you to reflect on this promise from God.
