“God has equipped you to handle difficult things. In fact, He has already planted the seeds of discipline and self-control inside you. You just have to water those seeds with His Word to make them grow!” - Joyce Meyer
Have you ever had a situation where someone tried to outsmart or deceive you? Whether it is trying to sell you a counterfeit item, have you do something that is against your values, or take you to a place that does not align with your core beliefs? Do you recall how you handle this situation once you realized what transpired?
We are warned many times to beware of many things in life. We are told not to do certain things or frequent certain areas because of danger. We are taught commands and equipped with the truth from very young. However, we tend to flirt with the very things that we receive clear instructions to keep clear of. I recalled recently being in such a situation. Once I realized that the situation was not aligned with God’s commands, I was able to walk away free and clear. I was grateful to have God’s commands with me that awakened me to the enemy’s deception.
I realized that by studying and learning God’s word and his commands, the truth equips you with the tools for victory. Today’s verse is a reminder that keeping God’s commands with you always, makes you wiser than your enemies. No matter how the enemy may try to outsmart you, God’s word equips you for victory!
Dear God,
Thank you for the reminder to always keep your commands with me as it makes me wiser than my enemies. That the truth always sets me free. I pray that all your children keep your commands so that they too can be wiser than their enemies. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
