Ephesians 4:23-24 (NIV) - Ephesians 4:23-24 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Our thoughts are powerful. They dictate whether we will have a great or bad day. As I pay attention to my thoughts, it is interesting to note that our thoughts are triggered mostly by external factors than what is happening internally. However, these external factors begin to affect our internal being. Marcus Aurelius said “The soul becomes dyed with the colors of its thoughts. Can you imagine that your thoughts have an impact on your soul?
Our thoughts affect so much whether we are happy, have fear, get angry, are jealous, have lustful thoughts and too many other emotions to mention. What if you decide to take control of the many thoughts that fly through your head. To make a decision that you will not let your thoughts run wild. You make the decision to take charge of your thoughts. Mahatma Ghandi said your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny. Should your thoughts become your values and your destiny?
Today’s verse is a reminder to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. What’s your choice, to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness or continue to let your thoughts run wild? The choice is yours.
Dear Father,
Thank you for the reminder that you have given me the power to make new the attitude of my mind. To put on my new self created to be like you in true righteousness and holiness. I pray that all your children embrace the power you have given them to make new the attitude of their minds. To put on the new self created to be like you in true righteousness and holiness. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
Learn it. Live it. Lead it.
