2 Corinthians 5:17-Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!
Today is one day we all give ourselves permission to start a new chapter, to renew our minds, heart and soul, to start fresh. What does a new beginning look like to you? Is it a time of hope, expectation and believing that all things are possible? Is it a time that you make a decision to throw out all your hurt, pain, sorrow and anger and forgive no matter what? Is it a time you decide to move forward with joy, peace, in harmony and one step at a time? Is a new beginning a time you chose to believe without seeing?
Walking by faith is not easy. This is what each of us do when we resolve to make a change or several changes in the new year. We have faith and believe that we will achieve the things we set out to do. Sometimes, we have no idea of the steps we will take to achieve our goals, but we believe we will reach them. I wonder what are the anchors some use to remain focus on reaching their goals and remain committed to self. Are they truly committed to self or just want to have what they see others have?
To me, when you focus on you, your plans, your goals and the truth aka God’s word, you have a better chance of success. You focus on God’s plans for your life not someone else’s, you let go and let God lead the change and transformation you seek. My experience is that he usually exceeds my expectations. Today’s verse is a reminder that if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here! I encourage you to read 2 Corinthians 5. Let God lead your new year resolutions, obey the steps he orders you to take at all cost and watch him exceed your expectations.
Dear God,
Thank you for the reminder that you must be a critical part of the changes I seek. Without you, it means nothing. That in you, the new creation has come: The old has gone and the new is here. I pray that all your children include you, and better yet, let you lead the changes, the visions and the goals they seek. That they realize that without you, it is nothing. I ask this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
