Unique

What sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and it’s not. And a lot of the time, it’s what makes you great.” - Emma Stone

Psalm 139:14 - I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
I recently observed a few children playing. They were all doing their own thing. No one was trying to do what the other was doing. It seems they knew something we tend to forget, they are each unique and are created for their own purpose.
Merriam Webster defines unique as being the only one; being without a like or equal. There is no need to try to be like someone else. Each of us are here on earth to serve a specific and unique purpose. There is no need to be distracted or jealous of what others have, that is uniquely designed for that person, not for you. When we step away from the unique purpose for which we are created to be like someone else, there is a void in the universe. A purpose God intended to be filled, not filled.
Today’s verse is a reminder that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. I encourage you today to embrace that you are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made just the way you are. Love you, be you.
Dear God,
Thank you for the reminder that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I pray that all your children remember that you made them unique. That you were intentional in your design...Wonderful are your works; their soul knows it very well. I pray this in your son Jesus’ name. Amen!
