Happy Friday! Serve the Lord always.

Obey, Love, and Serve
Deuteronomy 11:13-15- So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
Many people today live in what we refer to as the "sandwich generations." They are raising their own children and taking care of their parents all at the same time. For many, this is no easy feat especially when you add all other responsibilities like work, home and general family responsibilities. However we are called to serve and take care of those who no longer can either be alone or take care of themselves. We must love and serve.
Today's verse is a reminder of a very important command to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. When we love God, we love all people, we obey his commands and we joyfully serve the lord and his children. Being a part of a sandwich generation may not be easy, but when you see the blessing of serving the Lord and his people, the burden is light. You serve with ease, with joy and filled with love.
I encourage you today to live by this important command. Obey, Love and Serve the lord with all your heart and soul. As Matthew 11:30 reminds us- "His yoke is easy and His burden light."
Thank you for the reminder that the key to walking on your straight path entails loving, obeying, and serving you with all our heart and soul. I pray that all your children put you first in their lives. That they love, obey and serve you above all. I ask this all in Jesus name. Amen!
