Provision

“...You say to God, “I have never seen you provide for me.” God says to you, “You have never trusted Me.” - Corallie Buchanan

Philippians 4:19(NIV)- And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

As I reflect on life, I sometimes wonder how did I make it from point A to point B? Sometimes it looks like you have exhausted all your options to make ends meet, sometimes you feel that you have done all in your power to fix a health or personal situation, sometimes your tank is on empty and you have no idea how to fill it. Then suddenly, a blessing shows up to allow you to make it from point B to point C. This may be in the form of lost treasure found in unlikely places, you begin to feel better after a long illness, or you are blessed by a complete stranger. You then realize, you have just what you need, not more, not less.

Believing and having unshakable faith is critical to make it in this world. When the going gets tough, sometimes all you have left is your belief that God will provide for you, to never lose hope, to never doubt God’s promises, to not worry and smile through the “going gets tough.” Anchor on the fact that you know that God has got you. He will provide everything you need. He is your provider. Look back at your life, do you have a story to share when the going got tough and God provided just what you need through someone else or by finding a loss treasure?

Today’s verse is a reminder that no matter your current situation do not worry, God will supply every need you have according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He is your provider, not man. Put your faith in God not man and watch him provide just what you need.

Dear God,

Thank you for the reminder that you are my provider. That you will supply every need of mine according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. I pray that all your children remember that you are the provider, not man. That you will supply every need they have according to your riches. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen!
